Print, make and discover
Make a mini Roman exhibition
Make three folding display stands, choose documented objects and write labels that distinguish evidence from ideas.
Suggested ages 11+ · Allow 35–60 minutes · 2 A4 pages
Print your activity
Page 1 is the activity sheet. Page 2 has answers, discussion ideas or making notes for an adult. Free for home and classroom use. Print single-sided in black and white; use actual size for folding templates.

You will need
A4 light card or paper, pencil, ruler, scissors and optional colouring pencils.
Try the activity
Choose three documented Roman objects from a museum collection and note their links or catalogue numbers.
Add an object drawing, a 25-word label and a source on each strip.
Cut the three outer rectangles, fold each into a tent and arrange an exhibition.
Ask a visitor what the objects suggest together, and what is still uncertain.
Grown-up notes and answers
Check that each label gives an object name, material or date when recorded, a source, and a distinction between documented fact and suggestion. Each stand folds at its centre into an inverted V: rest its two lower edges on a table.
Connect it with Roman Britain
This paper exhibition uses modern display stands. Object information should come from actual museum records. Drawing an object does not give permission to reuse a museum photograph.
Suggested ages are a guide. Read the instructions together and adapt the writing or practical work to your learners. An adult should help with cutting.
